Neuro Linguistic Programming
A local of Waiheke Island, Alana has always been fascinated by what motivates and drives people to do what they do. She was studying Psychology at Auckland University when a chance encounter with a Hypnotherapist while walking her dog on the beach lead to a change in direction!
Alana finished the Practitioner training in Hypnosis, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Timeline Therapy™ with Open Road Associates, and in 2008 she went on to complete the Master Practitioner training in these modalities.
An eternal student who firmly believes the adage, the more you know the more you realise how much you don’t know, Alana has also gone on to study Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Psychosynthesis, techniques from both of which she applies in her private practice.
To this day Alana feels blessed to have had that chance encounter on a beach. She feels privileged to work with modalities that can both alleviate a vast range of issue for her clients quickly and efficiently, as well as creating a whole new set of desirable behaviours to assist them in creating the life they truly desire.
Alana has also spent time working with Living Without Violence, a Waiheke Island agency working to eliminate interpersonal violence in all its forms, and recently has been studying Anthropology with Massey University to further her understanding of what motivates and molds peoples throughout the world.
Outside of her professional life, Alana loves to make the most of her beautiful surroundings, getting outdoors with her two sons and their dog. She also loves to knit and crochet, first taught to her by her grandmother when she was a child.
